Stevens 2020 Competition Important Announcement
In the light of the increasing restrictions on meetings and movement of goods in both the UK and mainland Europe due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus, it has become necessary to postpone the programme for the 2020 Stevens Competition. As a consequence, entries will no longer be required by 1700 hours on Thursday 16th April 2020. Please do not send your entries to Glaziers’ Hall until we provide further instructions. I am in discussions with the Judges, the Glaziers’ Company and Morden College to establish a new programme. I anticipate that the submission date will move to June or July 2020. Clearly, we will seek to minimise the delay in order to still allow the commissioned panel to be available to the College for the opening of the John Morden Centre at Easter 2021. I shall inform you as quickly as possible of the revised submission date. I would also ask you to monitor this website for information on the changing situation.
Organiser, Stevens 2020 Competition
The Glaziers’ Company is one of the ancient Livery Companies of the City of London. It dates from the 14th century (click here for a brief history). Today its members play a full role in the civic life of the City of London and enjoy valuable networking and social opportunities.
Through its charity, The Glaziers Foundation, it supports education and conservation, and all its activities are devoted to promoting the art and craft of stained glass.
